True Lies from Two Spies
Jonna and Tony Mendez, authors and former members of the CIA, join us for an elegant dinner and describe their fascinating and often thrilling experiences working for the CIA. Jonna Mendez will discuss the roles women play in intelligence operations in “Sisterhood of Spies in the CIA.” Tony Mendez will talk about being a “CIA Master of Disguise,” and the elaborate covert operations he and other CIA operatives used against the Russians, the East German Stasi, and other enemies during the Cold War.
Also, don’t miss an opportunity to have them sign copies of “Spy Dust” written by Jonna and Tony Mendez and "Master of Disguise" written by Tony Mendez, available in the museum store.
Jonna Mendez is a 27-year veteran of the CIA who served as a technical operations officer and chief of disguise. Tony Mendez spent 25 years undercover as the chief of disguise for the CIA, and he received the CIA's Intelligence Star of Valor and the Trailblazer Award.
