The World of Wizards
Grades 4-5
Beware you non-magical folk because you may come across some spells as you enter our doors. Your studies will be devoted to the "behind-the-scenes" look at the world of magic done by some famous wizards!

Native Americans - First Campers

Investigate the legends and lifestyles of several Native American tribes, past and present, and learn their place in American history.
CSI
Grades 4-5
Learn how to lift and develop fingerprints, sample soils, and cast footprints and teeth. Assemble your own crime kit and use your skills at a crime scene at the museum.

Journey beneath the waves to an incredible undersea world. Learn about creatures in the ocean, including those who live on the sea floor and those who spend part of their lives on land. From brightly colored corals to endangered marine mammals, the diversity of life in the sea will amaze you.
Cosmic Fury
Grades 2-3
10, 9, 8 - your astronaut training begins immediately. 7, 6, 5 - you will learn all about U.S. space history. 4, 3, 2, 1 - prepare to take off on a galactic adventure of experiments related to the design and science of space flight. We have liftoff!
Grossology
Grades 4-5
Belches, boogers, and blisters! Creepy-crawly worms! Discover the biology and chemistry behind these and other disgusting stuff.
Survivor
Grades 6-8

Alone, marooned, scared, cold, and hungry - can you survive? You betcha! Learn to distill drinking water to quench your thirst, how to navigate by the stars, and tell time with the sun. Build a make-shift shelter and find out what kinds of bugs make good snacks.

Join us as we journey through the museum and discover some strange animals. From meat-eating predators to the tiniest amoebas, your world is full of amazing creatures!
Prehistoric Creatures
Grades 2-3
Saber tooth tigers, giant beavers, and sloths. Oh my! These are just some of the prehistoric creatures that roamed in Florida. So get your backpacks ready to gather up all the information you can about fossils and paleontology.
Spy Camp
Grades 4-5
Develop a disguise, make and break codes, discover escape techniques, and create and use spy gadgets to uncover the history and science behind spying.

All Around Town

Explore the world of Richard Scarry's Busytown while you learn about your community, neighborhoods, transportation, and town celebrations!
School of Rock
Grades 2-3
You want to rock? Get on the tour bus to learn about the legends of rock n' roll, working in a band, and how to be a real performer. This camp is sure to be a #1 hit!
Build It Big
Grades 4-5
Use surprising things to construct amazing creations. Discover which shapes make the strongest structures. Try your hand at building bridges. Have fun demolishing some of your structures as you learn how architects make buildings strong.
Supernatural
Grades 6-8
Investigate the supernatural from the tales of Dracula to "The Nightmare Before Christmas" on this fascinating journey through the history of the paranormal. Spend time with vampires, werewolves, and mythical beasts as you explore ghost, fantasy, and gothic stories.
August 5-9
Puppet Central
Grades K-1
Finger puppets, life-sized puppets, shadow puppets, puppet charades, puppet jeopardy, and puppet shows. It's a puppet palooza!
Mummies, Tombs, and More
Grades 2-3
Travel back in time and experience the culture and customs of the ancient Egyptians. You'll unwrap a mummy, write in hieroglyphs, and help build a tomb! So strap on those sandals and get ready to walk like an Egyptian!
Star Warriors
Grades 4-5
Build a Tataouine village and man the bridge as you travel space in search of galaxies far, far away in an adventure based in popular and classic science fiction.
Thrills and Spills
Grades 6-8

Design a thrill ride or whole theme park as you create a drawing or model from concept and sketching to analysis and peer review. Learn the history and science behind amusement parks as you look at famous theme parks throughout history. It's sure to be a rollercoaster of a ride!

Take a trip around the world and discover how art has influenced different cultures. Make a traditional mockingbird puppet from Guatemala, a headdress from Ecuador, origami from Japan, and a mask from Africa.
Taming the Wild, Wild West
Grades 3-5
Learn what pioneers experienced on the trail to the wild, wild west. Pack your wagon and saddle up for stories about early Americans moving west from Florida and Appalachia. Find out about their homes, tools, and transportation, and the difference between cowboys and cow hunters.
