Francis reveals Florida’s unknown past in September 18 talk

Speaking to an overflow crowd at the Orlando Public Library, historian J. Michael Francis explored the many myths that dominate popular perceptions about the Spanish colonization of Florida. His talk on Sunday, September 18, also highlighted the fascinating work Francis and his students pursue as they uncover the truth about early Florida through research in Spanish archives.
