Give your young historymaker a memorable camp experience with our Adventures in History Summer Camp! Through hands-on activities, our educators combine intriguing history with STEAM content in a rare and fun learning environment.

We offer classes for ages 6-11. (All students must have completed kindergarten.)

  • Most weeks will feature either an offsite field trip or special guest, included in camp tuition.
  • All campers will receive one free T-shirt for summer (during the first week they attend).
  • Additional T-shirts can be purchased.

Camp Hours: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Before Care: 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. (Included in the cost of tuition.)
After Care: 4  – 6 p.m. (Included in the cost of tuition; a fee of $1.50 per minute will be charged per child after 6 p.m.)

Camper drop-off is safe and convenient in our parking lot on North Court Avenue.

DISCOUNTS

Become a History Center Member at the Dual/Family level or above and save 10% on summer camp registration!
Orange County Government employees receive a 10% discount.

Cancellations & Refunds 

All cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee. Cancellations requested more than seven days in advance are subject to a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations received seven days or less in advance are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. The remainder of the tuition balance, less the cancellation fee, will be refunded.

In lieu of cancellation, camp tuition may be rescheduled into a future week of camp at no charge, pending availability. If space is not available for requested reschedules, the cancellation policy applies.

Scholarship Opportunities

The History Center is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities for our Summer Camp program for 2026. Camps offer great experiences for children to explore their creativity, expand their imaginations, and enhance their knowledge of the world around them. Scholarships cover full tuition (7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.) and one camp T-shirt.

Eligibility

Children ages 6-11 with financial needs are eligible. Applicants may apply for siblings or multiple children, with a limit of one week of camp per child. (Additional weeks may be awarded pending availability). Financial need can be shown by being enrolled in Florida’s Food Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA), free or reduced-cost lunch program, or a statement of need.

Complete the History Center Scholarship Application here. One application can be used when applying for siblings or multiple children.

Please also supply written documentation demonstrating financial need. This may include but is not limited to a letter from an official social service agency or participation in Florida’s Food Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA), or a free or reduced-cost lunch program.

Additional Information

Scholarships will be awarded the week prior to the beginning of a camp session and cannot be guaranteed further in advance. Recipients will be notified by 5 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons about camp sessions that begin the following Monday and must confirm their attendance by 1 p.m. on Friday.

Build railroads, carve canoes, and launch rockets as we learn about the transportation that helped shape Florida and keeps our state moving

Step into our historic courtroom and discover how the justice system works!  Campers will explore everything from evidence collection to courtroom procedures to see how the law helps keep communities safe and fair.

Jump into Nick fun, 1990s-style! Play wild games, act out silly skits, and take on playful challenges—because even when things get messy, it’s all part of the slime-tastic fun!!

Explore the wild side of Florida! Learn about endangered, native, and invasive animals and how they affect our environment—and what we can do to protect our ecosystems.
