The Orange County Regional History Center is seeking highly qualified individuals to join our team! The History Center is a joint partnership of Orange County Government and the Historical Society of Central Florida and is a national multi-award-winning, AAM accredited, and Smithsonian affiliated institution centered around its mission: to serve as the gateway for community engagement, education, and inspiration by preserving and sharing Central Florida’s continually unfolding story.
Internships
The History Center offers a variety of internships that provide hands-on experience in Education, Exhibits, and Collections. Internships are designed to support academic and professional development while students work alongside staff to complete a target project.
The HerStory: Women in History Intern will work with staff to uncover and bring visibility to the important roles and contributions of women throughout Central Florida’s history. The intern must possess a strong interest in seeking valuable museum experience and demonstrate an interest in researching diverse women’s history stories and museum studies.
