Lunch & Learn – Behind the Glass: Disney’s Animation in Florida

Friday, February 6, 2026, Noon – 1 p.m.

Get an in-depth look at Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida, the studio that once brought movie magic to life right here in Central Florida. From 1989 to 2004, guests at Disney-MGM Studios could watch animators create beloved characters in real time. This presentation traces the studio’s evolution – from theme park attraction to the creative force behind Mulan and Lilo & Stitch – and explores how its artists helped shape Disney’s legacy. Presented in conjunction with our special exhibition Animationland, this program celebrates the imagination and innovation that defined this small but mighty studio.
