Journey through Florida’s wild and wondrous natural history as you explore prehistoric landscapes, early human ingenuity, and the sometimes bizarre creatures that still call Central Florida home. From towering mammoths to mysterious swamp dwellers, Florida’s environment has shaped life here for thousands of years. Step into our exhibit to uncover ancient artifacts, test your knowledge of local wildlife, and celebrate the natural forces that make Orlando truly extraordinary. Activities include:

Arrowhead Excavation Station – Channel your inner archaeologist! Grab your dig tools and search for hidden arrowheads just like the early peoples who lived and hunted on Florida’s land. Learn how archaeologists identify these artifacts and what they tell us about ancient life.
Mammoth Puzzle Pit – Florida was once home to giant creatures like mammoths! Piece together a mammoth puzzle and discover what these Ice Age animals ate, how they lived, and why they disappeared.
Weird Florida Wildlife Mystery Game – Florida is home to some truly peculiar animals. Can you crack the clues and identify each strange species? Solve the riddle cards, match tracks to creatures, and uncover the surprising wildlife stories that make Central Florida so unique!
