Opera meets Central Florida literature with this special Lunch & Learn. Adapted into an opera, the acclaimed children’s book The Secret River by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings will be presented at Mead Botanical Gardens on March 6 and 7. Enjoy a sneak peek of the performance from Opera Orlando singers and hear from composer Stella Sung and Prof. Kenneth Kidd from the University of Florida, a specialist on Rawlings.
