On September 29, 2000, the Orange County Regional History Center opened in its majestic 1927 courthouse home after a thoughtful restoration and renovation. The move to the heart of downtown Orlando from our comparatively humble location in Loch Haven Cultural Park was just 3 miles (or 2.27 miles, as the crow flies), but it was a giant leap for the museum and one that changed Central Florida’s cultural landscape.

From September 16 to 29, with your help, we’re celebrating this special milestone, marking  25 years of dedicated work and growth that has brought the museum high honors. Here’s how you can support our ongoing mission to preserve and share our region’s continually unfolding story:

Throughout the past 25 years, the History Center has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world, hosted 100+ special exhibitions, and reached 20,000+ students and educators annually through educational programs. We face the future ready to continue our work, with even more energy and commitment.
