Honor a Special Woman in a Historic Way!
A Fundraiser for the HERstory: Women in History Internship Fund
Honor your mother or another special woman in your life through a donation to the HERstory: Women in History Internship Fund. As the History Center works to uncover and bring visibility to the important roles and contributions of women throughout Central Florida’s history, we want to honor the women who have made, and are making, a difference every day.
Donate to the fund and send us information about the person you’d like to honor. We’ll include her photo and your message in the online gallery which you can share with her just in time for Mother’s Day, so you can let her know how your contribution honors her and the women who came before her.
The History Center’s HERstory: Women in History Internship Fund In honor of Jeanne Edge Evans & Bickley Wilson was created at the inaugural Women’s History Month Celebration breakfast honoring Mary McLeod Bethune in March 2020. The fund offers a paid internship to students interested in pursuing a career in public history, history, public administration, education, museums, and related areas who demonstrate a strong interest in seeking valuable museum experience and in researching diverse women’s history stories and museum studies.
