Step into a day of creativity, culture, and community as we celebrate Heritage Day and the opening of our newest exhibition By Heart and By Hand, honoring the artistry of Black craft makers in Central Florida. Through hands-on activities, family-friendly experiences, and opportunities to explore traditions from across our community, visitors of all ages will discover how art, craft, and storytelling help preserve heritage and connect generations. Activities include:

Family Friendly DJ – Join Music Mania as they host games, contests, and play music the whole family can enjoy!

Weaving History – Explore textile history and stories connecting quilts with the Underground Railroad while creating your own fiber art!

Clickity Clackity Castanets – Castanets are a traditional percussion instrument used in Spanish music. Feel the rhythm as you create your own at this craft station!

Memory Medallion – Create your own embossed medallion while learning the history of folk art and the stories it tells!
