The Destruction of Rosewood

Sunday, November 15, 2020, 2 p.m.

Vincent Adejumo of the African American Studies Program at the University of Florida examines Rosewood, once a predominantly Black community in Levy County that was destroyed in 1923 during a racially motivated attack, as well as other majority-Black cities in Florida, within the context of group economics and how that tradition among African Americans was destroyed.
